1. What is DURAMarker® Grip?

DURAMarker® Grip is a 53” wide pliable aluminum foil based media that applies direct with no over laminate on an infinite variety of surfaces including sealed and unsealed concrete, asphalt, brick, tile, terrazzo, marble, and vinyl flooring as well as brick, stucco, cinderblock and other exterior masonry wall surfaces with no over laminate. The material naturally conforms to rough or smooth textured surfaces; giving the appearance of painted graphics. The high-friction surface provides duel characteristics of exceptional slip resistance and reflectivity making this the best in class material that is durable, safe, highly visible and easy to use. Proven durability for short term and long-term use withstands heavy pedestrian traffic in hot, cold and wet weather environments for up to 1 year. 2. How is DURAMarker® GRIP Used?

DURAMarker® Grip is utilized for graphics that can appear as painted on floors or walls both outdoor and indoors. Because the material is so easy to apply and remove, there are many applications for safety compliance, directional / way-finding, 5S, and interpretive graphics. Another innovative use of DURAMarker® Grip is applying it vertically to walls and building exteriors as an alternative to vinyl banners.

3. Does DURAMarker® Grip need an over-laminate?

Absolutely not. DURAMarker®Grip unique high-friction surface is covered with glass beads, giving it exceptional slip resistance stability that exceeds OSHA and ASTM coefficient of friction requirements in both dry and wet conditions. Graphics are printed direct to the surface, eliminating the need and additional cost of over-laminates.

4. Will people trip on DURAMarker® Grip?

DURAMarker® Grip rugged aluminum foil material is designed to naturally conform to the texture of rough or smooth surfaces, appearing as a painted graphic that can cover cracks and lumps. Additionally the high-friction / slip-resistant surface improves the stability of pedestrian traffic in the area it is applied to in hot, cold and wet weather environments for up to 1 year.

5. Is DURAMarker® Grip reflective?

Yes, DURAMarker® Grip in built glass bead surface reflects light, making graphics highly visible at night when lights shine near the graphic.

6. What can be printed on DURAMarker® Grip?

Because it is produced on large format digital printers, absolutely anything can be printed on this media including intricate logos, photographs or solid color arrows. Large scaled graphics can be tiled together and form almost any size and shape.

7. How Does DURAMarker® Grip compare to other media used on concrete and asphalt?

DURAMarker® Grip is the widest media of its type at 53” W; usable edge to edge. It can be used outdoors as well as indoors; does not require expensive professional installation; never needs a laminate, and it holds up to both heavy pedestrian and rolling vehicle traffic. It is truly reliable, cost efficient and safe.

8. How easy is DURAMarker® Grip to apply?

No heat, sealer, over-laminate or professional installer required. Simply sweep the desired area clear of dirt, debris or moisture (If the surface is oily, it may need to be power washed with a commercial degreaser); peel off the release liner; lay flat on the surface and compress by hand or with a roller, making sure all edges are completely adhered. It is now ready for immediate use. The high performance pressure sensitive adhesive provides superior holding strength. It can be applied at temperatures of 32º F / 0º C or above.

9. Is DURAMarker as simple to remove?

Yes, just take a blade to peel up a corner then pull off at an angle less than 45 degrees; typically leaves no residue. Graphics placed on asphalt or other rough surfaces in locations where heavy vehicle traffic is present could be difficult to remove and may require power washing at a low angle to remove worn-in graphics.

10. Is DURAMarker® Grip environmentally friendly?

Yes, DURAMarker® is made from aluminum and contains no PVC or hazardous ingredients; it can be disposed with aluminum recycling.
